What does fashion mean to you?

As I’m drinking my coffee this morning, I’m deciding what to blog about. Sitting in my comfy black scrub pants and gray t-shirt, I’m honestly finding it hard to get in the fashion zone!

In my field, I see a wide variety of fashion “attempts” and it makes me appreciate that maybe fashion is more of a personal preference rather than a standard specific statement. In realizing this, I decided to ask a small group of my peers what fashion meant to them. I got some easy answers: chic, classic and comfortable. I kept asking and got a few more in-depth answers: “a way of expressing myself” or “a way for you to understand my personality before you actually meet me” and “looking my best, where ever I go”. For me, a mid-30’s mom of three, my answer was different: to me, fashion means Fashion Week, seasonal “it” picks and searching to find something that hides my tummy, makes me look tall and accentuates my nice legs!  SO, my blog today is reflecting on the answers I got while making sense of “fashion sense”!
